Dopo il progetto speciale I\O _IO È UN ALTRO alla “55. Esposizione Internazionale d’Arte. La Biennale di Venezia”, la personale al MAXXI di Roma nel 2015-2016 e O PERCURSO AUSENTE al MUBA (Museo di Belle Arti) di San Paolo, CÉSAR MENEGHETTI presenta alla galleria CreArte Studio di Oderzo (TV) un nuovo lavoro inedito BELOVED ONES #02 – Veneto, a cura di Carlo Sala, dedicato alla terra da cui, cento anni fa, i suoi antenati paterni partirono per emigrare in Brasile.
Il titolo dell’esposizione, traducibile in italiano come “miei cari, miei amatissimi”, è una sorta di dichiarazione d’amore e omaggio agli antenati che l’artista non ha mai conosciuto, ma che hanno, in qualche modo, contribuito alla sua esistenza e al suo errare per il mondo, macchina fotografica alla mano, sulle tracce della sua identità e memoria.
La ricognizione dall’artista in Veneto (che pone una particolare attenzione al comune di Quarto d’Altino in provincia di Venezia dove vissero i suoi antenati) è stata resa possibile dalla residenza che Meneghetti realizzerà nel mese di maggio a CreArte Studio. In questo arco di tempo, l’autore brasiliano ripercorrerà i luoghi d’origine della sua famiglia realizzando un progetto che è procedurale, relazionale e concettuale, dove il processo realizzativo è l’opera stessa. Il materiale acquisito nel corso della residenza creerà così un diario immaginario, composto da immagini reali e di repertorio, foto di famiglia, storie vere o presunte. I temi centrali del progetto – memoria e racconto delle migrazioni – saranno anche l’occasione per ricercare nuove forme di narrazione dove i confini tra realtà e finzione diventano labili per una rappresentazione poetica dei luoghi e delle persone.
Nel suo complesso BELOVED ONES è un lavoro multidisciplinare in quattro capitoli, volto ad indagare limiti e confini – geografici, umani ed esistenziali – e ad investigare l’alterità, attraverso una nuova visione dell’ identità. Non si limita, dunque, ad essere esclusivamente una ricerca artistica, bensì un momento di riflessione e auto- riflessione personale.
Nel primo capitolo di BELOVED ONES, esposto alla HIT Gallery di Bratislava e a cura di Lydia Pribisová, l’artista propone una sorta di archeologia dell’impossibile dei suoi antenati Austro-ungarici, decostruendo la realtà e creando uno scenario ‘altro’ per mettere da parte i pregiudizi che definiscono l’esistenza degli individui.
In occasione dell’inaugurazione della mostra di Oderzo, il 19 maggio alle ore 18, prenderà vita una conversazione tra l’artista e il curatore Carlo Sala.

After the special project I \ O _IO IS ANOTHER at the “55th International Art Exhibition .The Venice Biennale”, the staff at MAXXI in Rome in 2015-2016 and O PERCURSO AUSENTE at MUBA (Museum of Fine Arts) of San Paolo, CÉSAR MENEGHETTI presents at the gallery CreArte Studio in Oderzo (TV) a new unpublished work BELOVED ONES # 02 – Veneto, curated by Carlo Sala, dedicated to the land from which, one hundred years ago, his paternal ancestors left to emigrate Brazil.
The title of the exhibition, translated into Italian as “my dear, my beloved”, is a kind of declaration of love and tribute to the ancestors that the artist has never known, but who have, in some way, contributed to his existence and his wandering around the world, camera in hand, on the trail of his identity and memory.
The exhibition will collect a corpus of works – videos, photographs, objects, installations – to continue a research started five years ago that touched the countries (Italy, Slovakia, Austria, Hungary) crossed by the family of Meneghetti during the journey that, along the ‘Europe, brought them to South America, they are jobs that deal with the concepts of belonging and homeland and at the same time they deny them, in favor of the concept of humanity. Migrations are a phenomenon that, since the dawn of history, has marked the destiny of man in search of better living conditions and that is why in the project the specific events of the artist’s family interweave and reflect with those of others people who have experienced similar experiences, putting their lives at stake. The author’s investigation thus creates a dialogic relationship between past and present, well summarized in his open question: “Could one speak of a collective database of the historical influence of patterns of the past in the present?”.
Recognition by the artist in Veneto (which pays particular attention to the town of Quarto d’Altino in the province of Venice where his ancestors lived) was made possible by the residence that Meneghetti will realize in May at CreArte Studio. In this period of time, the Brazilian author will retrace the places of origin of his family realizing a project that is procedural, relational and conceptual, where the realization process is the work itself. The material acquired during the residency will thus create an imaginary diary, composed of real and repertory images, family photos, true or presumed stories. The central themes of the project – memory and narration of migrations – will also be an opportunity to research new forms of narration where the boundaries between reality and fiction become labile for a poetic representation of places and people.
BELOVED ONES as a whole is a multidisciplinary work in four chapters, aimed at investigating boundaries and boundaries – geographic, human and existential – and to investigate otherness, through a new vision of identity. It is therefore not limited to being exclusively an artistic research, but rather a moment of personal reflection and self-reflection.
In the first chapter of BELOVED ONES, exhibited at the HIT Gallery in Bratislava and curated by Lydia Pribisová, the artist proposes a sort of archeology of the impossible of his Austro-Hungarian ancestors, deconstructing reality and creating an ‘other’ scenario to part of the prejudices that define the existence of individuals.

Depois que o projeto especial I \ O _Io É OUTRA a “55ª Exposição Internacional de Arte. La Biennale di Venezia”, a equipe do MAXXI em Roma em 2015-2016 e O Percurso ausente para Muba (Museu de Belas Artes) em San Paolo, César Meneghetti apresenta a Crearte Estúdio Oderzo galeria (TV) um novo emprego unreleased amados # 02 – Veneto, editado por Charles Hall, dedicada à terra de onde, cem anos atrás, seus ancestrais paternos esquerda para emigrar Brasil.
O título da exposição, em italiano como “meu querido, meu amado”, é uma espécie de declaração de amor e homenagem aos antepassados que o artista nunca conheceu, mas que, de alguma forma, contribuíram para a sua a existência e sua peregrinação pelo mundo, câmera na mão, no rastro de sua identidade e memória.
A exposição vai reunir um corpo de trabalho – vídeos, fotografias, objetos, instalações – para continuar a pesquisa começou há cinco anos que tocou países (Itália, Eslováquia, Áustria, Hungria) percorridos pelos membros da família de Meneghetti durante a viagem, juntamente A Europa, trouxe-os para a América do Sul, são empregos que lidam com os conceitos de pertença e pátria e ao mesmo tempo os negam, em favor do conceito de humanidade. A migração é um fenômeno que, desde os primórdios da história, marcou o destino do homem em busca de melhores condições de vida e é por isso que nos eventos específicos do projeto em família do artista estão interligados e refletem com os de outra pessoas que tiveram experiências semelhantes, colocando suas vidas em risco. A investigação da autora cria, assim, uma relação de diálogo entre passado e presente, resumiu em sua pergunta aberta: “Você poderia falar sobre um banco de dados coletiva influência histórica dos padrões do passado no presente?”.
O reconhecimento pelo artista em Veneto (que dá atenção especial ao município de Quarto d’Altino, na província de Veneza, onde seus antepassados viveram) foi possível graças a residência Meneghetti realizado no mês de Maio a Crearte Studio. Neste período, o autor brasileiro vai refazer os locais de origem de sua família trabalhando em um projeto que é processual, relacional e conceptual, onde o processo de construção é o trabalho em si. O material adquirido durante a residência criará, assim, um diário imaginário, composto por imagens reais e de repertório, fotos de família, histórias verdadeiras ou presumidas. Os temas centrais do projeto – memória e narrativa da migração – será também uma oportunidade de buscar novas formas de contar histórias onde as linhas entre realidade e ficção se confundem por uma representação poética de lugares e pessoas.
Como um todo entes queridos é um trabalho multidisciplinar em quatro capítulos, com o objetivo de investigar os limites e fronteiras – geográficas, humanas e existenciais – e investigar a alteridade, através de um novo dell ‘visão identidades. Portanto, não se limita a ser exclusivamente uma pesquisa artística, mas sim um momento de reflexão pessoal e autorreflexão.
No primeiro capítulo do amados, expostas na Galeria HIT em Bratislava e curadoria de Lydia Pribišová, o artista propõe uma espécie de arqueologia do impossível de seus ancestrais austro-húngaros, desconstruindo a realidade e criando um cenário de ‘outro’ para colocar parte dos preconceitos que definem a existência dos indivíduos.
Por ocasião da inauguração da exposição Oderzo, no dia 19 de maio, às 18 horas, terá lugar uma conversa entre o artista e o curador Carlo Sala.
